Shakinouts play to 70,000 people at Party in the Park

eko are pleased to announce there third video for up and coming indie rockers The Shakinouts. eko not only played and produced the music, but filmed the video in Headingley, Scarborough and in Andy’s streets and back garden.

The band will be playing to 70,000 people when they back up the Sugarbabes at party in the park in a few weeks time in Leeds. Well done guys…..

eko create videos for Bowes Museum

eko where asked to by Continuum to help produce around 40 mini videos that where to be used on a kiosk at The Bowes Museum. The videos explained the story behind the Silver Swan which dates from 1773. The kiosk is placed next to the swan to explain the story.

eko where handed footage that had been already shot and edited it into mini 1-2 minute clips. We then filmed a British Sign Language expert on greenscreen. Then overlayed the sign footage over the edits. We also included subtitles. The videos have now been installed at The Bowes Museum.

eko exhibit at Venturefest 2009

Eko will be exhibiting at Venturefest 2009, on the 11th of February.
The event at York racecourse will bring together venture capitalists, innovators with ideas, and entrepreneurs.
Eko will be in the innovation showcase area. Feel free to drop in and say hi, it would be good to see you all there.
This will be our first exhibition, and we plan on having fun while were there, we are planning on having a postcard quiz, where the winner will win a very special prize, more details to follow….

ICS Consulting are a rapidly growing business consultancy.
Eko have been given the task of redesigning there existing site, this will involve a completely new look and feel, concentrating on it’s ease of use and it’s updateability.
We will also be producing comprehensive brand guidelines, that will help consolidate the look of the newly designed site across other mediums.
The site is set for a February delivery, we will keep you informed.

Norwich Union & 10 years of Equity Release

In November Norwich Union celebrated 10 years of Equity Release.
eko were asked to film the anniversary conference in London, where leading figures from the likes of Help the Aged, and other organisations, along with Norwich Union representatives,, gave comment on the past, present and future of Equity release.

eko also produced several video podcast for the site during 2008.

Jook Box Fury

Jook box fury is the brilliant debut novel by our very good friend Kevern Stafford.
Eko may have designed the the book jacket cover, the badges, and postcards, and sarahphotogirl.com, may have produced the cover photo, BUT Mr Stafford has produced the best novel about popular music you could ever wish to read. Of course we are biased, but with very good reason, heres an overview of whats in store.

Geoff Druett presents for eko

We have been lucky to have worked with the legendary calendar presenter Geoff Druett, over the past couple of days. eko have been fiming for the last week in Malton, on a project for Ryedale district council.

We are in the process of making a 20 minute film about the proposed developments to the town centre.
We managed to get a lot of people interviewed, and after two days filming with Geoff, we were starting to become the centre of attention.

We all had a good time though, the weather wasn’t too bad, and we got to hear lots of stories about Geoff’s exploits in TV land.

Norwich Union keeping eko busy

eko have been busy once more, with work at Norwich Union, over the last couple of months we have been working on major pieces of work, including IFA viral campaigns, Greenscreen filming work for the retention team, podcasts, and more besides. One of the downsides of working with big companies is that a lot of the work is confidential, so we are not always able to show it.

“It can be frustrating, when you know you have a great piece of new media work with great effects, but cant put it online, but hey that happens to all design companies” said Andy

We have also finished a major set of banner ads for the company, and will will show them off on the blog site once they are launched in a week or so.
